“Kids Go to Camp 5!” Special Grant

CBCF 9 News 9 “Kids Go to Camp 5!” Special Grant

The Coastal Bend Community Foundation is pleased to announce $250,000 in grant awards from its 2019 Special Grant Program, “Kids Go to Camp 5!” have been awarded to 13 nonprofits. Approved by the CBCF Board of Directors to support the Foundation’s mission to “improve the quality of life in the Coastal Bend, the awards will allow 1,000 economically disadvantaged children in our community to be able to attend a summer camp. The past four “Kids Go to Camp!” have provided over 4,000 Coastal Bend youth the opportunity to attend a summer camp for free. With the “Kids Go to Camp 5!” awards, a total of $1.25 million has been awarded through this special grant program.

TAMUCC – VIK (Very Important Kids)
TAMUCC – Young Authors’ Writing
Texas Maritime Museum (Rockport)
Texas State Aquarium
