Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund
In 2017, Joe McComb established the Mayor’s Hurricane Harvey Fund in order to accept donations and disburse funds for the relief following Hurricane Harvey. This fund has recently been renamed Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund. focused on assistance to area nonprofits working to meet the demands for critical services during the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic. The guiding principle of the Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund is to assess need in terms of demands for services and the cash on hand of nonprofits focused on food and housing along with the potential to receive state or federal monies, and the overall financial condition of the entity. Should headway be made in these areas through the funding donated, then it is hoped to have sufficient donations to allow the fund to expand into supporting childcare and medical services. While there are many worthwhile nonprofits providing great services, the fund will support those areas needing the most assistance as long as funding resources are available. You may donate directly to this relief effort by clicking Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund.

Current Coastal Bend Community Foundation Fund Holders
As part of our continuing efforts to provide the best resources to our fund holders, the Foundation is implementing “DonorCentral”- an online portal to facilitate fund access for donors/fund holders. This new online portal will provide more immediate access to fund data. It will allow you to view fund balances, obtain fund statements, make grant recommendations(if applicable), and review fund history. We are pleased to be able to provide this tool. Thank you for your support of this upgrade and as always, thank you for your continued support of Coastal Bend Community Foundation and our community.
