Among the fiduciary responsibilities CBCF holds to donors, none is more important than the prudent investment of assets. In addition to our Board of Directors, the Foundation’s investments are overseen by the Foundation’s Investment Committee and investment manager Fund Evaluation Group, LLC of Dallas, Texas.

The Foundation maintains an investment portfolio that is

  • Highly diversified to protect against market volatility
  • Focused on long-term returns within acceptable risk tolerances
  • Regularly monitored to evaluate both asset allocation and investments

The Foundation also strives to keep its administrative costs low. For 2012, the ratio of support expenses to average net assets was 0.95%.

MISSION AND VISION

The Mission of the Foundation is to improve the quality of life in the Coastal Bend by building community endowment and addressing social, educational, environmental, and cultural needs through the awarding of grants and scholarships.

The Foundation’s Vision is to provide the Coastal Bend with:

  • Effective grants to charitable organizations and scholarships to students
