HALE - MARK TODD HALE MEMORIAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE SCHOLARSHIP
Purpose: | In memory of Mark Todd Hale, who died from complications arising from elective open-heart surgery on Aug. 12, 1987. He died before realizing his dream of becoming a law enforcement officer. He was a dedicated member of the Corpus Christi Law Enforcement Explorer Post #133 for two years and was attending Del Mar College, majoring in criminal justice, at the time of his death. | Amount: | $1,000/one available | Eligibility: | Applicants must: - be a graduating high school senior or a full-time college student (12 hours or more);
- major in criminal justice;
- have a minumum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and;
- reside in the Coastal Bend.*
