In honor of Dr. Dana Williams, superintendent of the Corpus Christi Independent School District from 1962 to 1981 and founding executive vice president of the Coastal Bend Community Foundation from 1981 to 1998.

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
be a high school senior graduating from a CCISD high school planning to major in education, or a current college student majoring in education;
have a cumulative high school GPA of 90% or college GPA of 3.0;
demonstrate financial need
enroll in and maintain in a minimum of 12 semester hours in an accredited college or university in the United States;
submit a special essay (instructions on page 6 of the Common Application), and;
maintain a permanent address in Corpus Christi.
