SPRINGER - JIM SPRINGER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Purpose: | In memory of Jim Springer, a well-known master of ceremonies of chamber of commerce breakfasts and many other events in Corpus Christi. Jim Springer devoted much of his life to making people laugh and being a super salesman for organizations with which he was involved. He served as president of the Corpus Christi Advertising Federation and the Marketing and Sales Management Association and received the Silver Medal from the Advertising Federation. He died unexpectedly on January 19, 1985. | Amount: | $500/one available | Eligibility: | Applicants must be: - full-time students (at least 12 hours);
- a college sophomore, junior or senior;
- major in public relations, marketing, advertising, or communications;
- have a 2.5 GPA, and;
- be a resident of the Coastal Bend*
