Established by Joseph Huerta to extend the opportunity for college scholarships like those he received that helped him attend college and law school. Mr. Huerta loves to learn and is known for asking “why.” He is now a successful local attorney.
Amount:
$1,000-$5,000/As many as 10 one-year scholarships
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
graduate from a CCISD high school and have a high school GPA of at least 90 percent on a 100-point scale;
establish financial need;
enroll as a full-time college student (at least 12 semester credits) at a four-year accredited college or university, and;
maintain a course-load of at least 12 college credits per semester and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
