LAINE - CASEY LAINE ARMED FORCES SCHOLARSHIP
Purpose: | Doreen Kinkel established this scholarship to honor her daughter, Casey Laine Swakon, on her graduation from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and her commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. | Amount: | $200/one available (Recipient may re-apply for up to three additional years.) | Eligibility: | Applicants must: - be a graduating senior or current graduate from a Coastal Bend* High School;
- graduate in top 50% of high school class;
- be a member or honorably discharged veteran of the armed services, or an R.O.T.C. member (high school seniors must agree to join an R.O.T.C. program upon entering college);
- be the son or daughter of a member or honorably discharged veteran of the armed services;
- attend any accredited college or university in the United States;
- enroll in a minimum of 12 semester hrs and maintain a 2.5 GPA.
