In memory of Barney Flynn, a freshman at Richard King High School in Corpus Christi who died at the age of 15. Barney attained the rank of Black Belt in the sport of Tae Kwan Do and played clarinet in the King High School Marching Band. He and his father, Capt. Dan Flynn, died in a tragic automobile accident on June 11, 1991.

be a graduating senior of a Corpus Christi, Flour Bluff or Tuloso-Midway ISD high school;
be a member of the high school band, and;
have a high perfomance level in band
